Each real wood floor has its own factory grading rules. These define the natural characteristics permitted in that product. Contact us for a copy before ordering.
The descriptions below are a general guide to the grades in our range.
Rustic, ABCD and Traditional
Rustic and ABCD floors feature larger knots and natural variations, including sapwood and mineral streaks. Traditional flooring is typically more knotty than Rustic.
Classic, ABC and Character
These grades include knots, sapwood and mineral streaks, but generally look cleaner than Rustic flooring while retaining the natural character of wood.
Select ABC
A relatively clean appearance, with smaller knots and some natural features such as sapwood and mineral streaks.
Prime AB
A very clean appearance, with occasional small pin knots. Natural features, including sapwood and mineral streaks, may still be present.
